have fun enjoy the ride and if i could give you one final bit of advice...

when you are in the middle of nowhere, and i mean literally nowhere when you haven't seen a sole for hours or even days, STOP!... and take it in, get off your bike and realize England is about 10,000 miles away or more and this is real, you are doing it, you are really out there on your own...this may sound strange but do it and then let me know, i'm guessing your response will include the word "surreal"...

Cheers fella. There is so much you can do to this bike - its a great machine. Im out of time and money for any further mods - so any problems Ill have to sort on the road. If I spend more on the bike, Ill have less for the trip - so a bit of a balance really.

Have a look at Pauls thread on this section. He did the run this time last year on his XTZ. Ive got sooooo much to look forward to!!!

Thanks again, and I hope you can follow my progress as the trip unfolds.

You are going to have the trip of a lifetime. I was in Tierra del fuego about 2 years ago. Beautiful place, bleak but beautiful. Wished i had a bike many times on our 2.25 year journey.
Bolivia is simply stunning, and my favourite country in south America.
