I did the mod yesterday on my bike. Just 1mm and it works great. The trottle is a lot smoother...
|
Oi Kev, this mod sounds great BUT as my technical skills are er limited, would you consider selling me the bit ready modified with the groove cut??? And I could then resend you mine to modify and resell to the next guy. What do you think????

Yep works great... :signthankspin:... Have done it to both my bikes XTR & TTR250... Was more noticable on the TTR which was quit snatchy off & on the throttle , made it alot smoother... better for slower tight stuff... |

http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co...62400200&uid=0 At that price, just buy one and have ago at doing the mod yourself. What's the worst that could happen? At least if you buy one to work on you still be able to ride your bike if you bu99er it up, and if it works - well you could mod the other one too and sell it on and get your money back! :D |
Hi,
Did this mod yesterday and I can say throttle reposnse is really smooth now. Its really easy to do. This should be on Yamaha list how to make their bike better ! Thanks to all who invented this mod ! |
The mod works well on any bike with throttle cables.
|
Apologies for the bump of this topic but am I reading it correctly that all you are really doing is cutting a groove in the tube where the cable meet the cam ??
