Did you buy the cans through us or directly from MTC?

Another big YAY for MTC - I've posted several times about what a great pair of exhausts they are etc. Now a post for their customer care.... as I'm selling my exhausts having returned the bike to standard for sale I noticed two of the rubber strips that protect the exhaust from the straps were a little worn where the rear tyre had caught. Used the 'contact us' form on their website to enquire how to purchase some more, had a reply within 30 mins asking for my address so they could post some out free, and lo and behold they arrived the next morning in the post.
10/10 for MTC!

I'm sitting here eagerly awaiting the phone call from the guys at MTC to say the Single Can option for the Tenere is in and ready....

The alloy sheet is all primed and waiting to be morphed into a new tail tidy and maybe a toolbox......

but,,

I NEED THE CAN!! :tongue8:

Ok let me give the chaps at MTC another reminder, hopefully one of them will reply to this thread with the anticipated answers.

let's wait and see now... :clock:

In the meantime, not having looked at a Tenere before in details, I am not so sure which side would be ideal for the single can to be. So... where would anyone think it would be better to have the single can, left side (chain side) or right side (disc brake side) and why? What would be the more practical reason for either one side or the other. Thanks

I dont have the exact picture of Tenere in my mind but at least for XT the disc side is better, leaves more room for chain maintenance.

Last I heard, MTC were waiting for the link pipes to come back from the polishers - so the side is already decided me thinks.....:happy6:

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you all. We have recently had our prototype system in to make sure everything fits and works well and now we have given them the ok so we should be recieving our first batch in the next couple of weeks. If anyone wants to place their order with us, we can prep the end can and have everything ready to dispatch as soon as we recieve the link pipes, we would only complete the payment on the day of dispatch. If you would like to place your order please call us on 01704 893337 or go direct through XT660.com. Here is a little taster of how it will look.
