I had contact with Jay on this and he knows it was not our fault.
It's a long story, but Grimaldi is a very big company that was not able to help us once we unloaded in Dakar, they had no clue whatsoever and it was clear we were about pay a lot of 'fees' that we just didn't had to pay.
We went to the office of Grimaldi Dakar and even the big boss there didn't know what to do with us. They ship containers worldwide but can't handle 2 bikes? And if they really had to pay a big fine, I'm sure we would know, I live 15 km from the Grimaldi Belgium office, and they have all of our details.
I'm very sorry that they closed that line, but this is their resposibility. In the end it was a misunderstanding about 150 euro/bike! Seems a weak argument to close a line.
Like I said, I know a lot more about this, it's a long story but I'll leave it at this.
A least Jay got to the other side of the pond and is in Africa now.
