I've had Ohlins on track bikes and professionally re-worked WR suspension - both were simply fantastic..
I'm after better off road capabilities (stiffer, less bottoming out etc) and it would appear that both the Hyperpro and Ohlins are seen as a road biased modification. Either way the improvement will be there and given the cost of the liquid gold used in the casting by Ohlins, I figure a set of Hyperpro is in order. Thanks for the comments.. |
I am very pleased with the WP suspension on my track TRX.
For the track SV before that I used Hyperpro springs which were a big improvement over stock as well. But for the Ten I opted for Wilbers. Progressive Springs in front and a 641 shock in the back. They'll be delivered early January. I'll post my experiences with them on the forum. |
Wilbers?
Do you have a link with pic's? |
You can get them from Off-the-road.
fork springs shock the shock that OTR offers is the 640 version. I wanted the 641 as it has separate hi-lo speed dampening settings. I ordered mine via Mojomoto.be from Bitubo race service in The Netherlands because they offered me a very nice price and I've had very good experiences with them in the past. |
Got them:
http://wilberssuspension.co.uk/products.php Ten' needs a 641 rear shock @ 585 inc Has remote reservoir, rebound, high & low speed & pre-load adjustments. Progressive springs are 85 inc oil etc.. Prices going up in Jan.. |
springs
Hello!
I dont get it, is there only ONE spring rate fore the xt660z? For my KTM 640 adventure, I bought the right springs for my type of riding and weight. 48 Nm in the front and 75 Nm on the shock. off course I can change it with the spring pre load adjuster, but that's just for the sag. |
Me neither the correct way is a selection of different rated springs to suit riders weight & riding conditions.
