I would have thought top hose or thermostat housing as that is where they have them on auto engines.
I already have tachometer, gear indicator with voltmeter, and oil temperature gauge installed along with oil cooler and Kevs water cooler. Even though I am not expecting trouble, I like to know that all the vital signs are ok. |

Now here is a good idea, no wires fitted. I would chech the hose sizes before buying one.

Nice and simple...a good find Kev.

Nice options alright - shipping charge reasonable too (by US standards)

Job done in a few minutes once the tank is off. Fits easily into the top hose to the rad.

The display has some black lcd 'splodges' on it so am awaiting a replacement from Trail Tech |
hose diameter is 19mm

I am getting one of these, a HEBO RPM/Temp Meter, which also has an over-rev warning light, engine hours, and max rpm recall.
The Trail Tech stuff doesn't sound very reliable............and these have been recommended. http://www.partsxpress.co.uk/index.p...1ccdf4b69db94e Here is a short video of its features... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYJonBOWXfY&NR=1 |
I did have a little trouble fitting the Hebo....as I didn't realise it ran from a digital watch battery in the back!!!!!! loool!!!!
But once I had figured that out, it is a doddle to fit and it works a treat.!!:smilies0349:..very good product. I just hope it is waterproof, it looks pretty waterproof. |
Oil, Water, Air Temperature Gauge
Let me relive the thread by asking if there is any update (I mean up-to-date part, gauge), since some of the links exposed are dead pages.
I'm looking for some stuff to monitor oil, water and, besides, even the air. I've seen the OTR oil temperature gauge and the Trailtech devices (not specific for the XT, though) ... Any suggestion or recommendation? D. |
