do you pressure wash your bike? I don't know if its possible, but water may be able to get in the breather or something. ????????

i have done in the passed but done oil change about 3mth ago but only used a hose on engine since then

just thinking what you said richardsracingmad i have a stg 2 air filter that goes on the air box. is it a possibility when its been washed or when riden in the rain water has got in this and got into the oil? all the oil is creamy colour

its just that I would look for the easier, more obvious cases of water in the oil....I haven't heard of a head gasket failure...and they are very good gaskets....

well i have now put my air box cover back on just now need to do engine flush and new oil+filter and then we will see what happens. i have checked expansion tank and water is approx 1>2 ml below line so begining to wonder if it was my stg 2 filter causing the problem moisture and washing the bike etc

let us know how you get on....

cooper1973 17-12-10 19:07

the bit that screws to the bike is sort of a tuff rubber so assuming this would seal once screwed to the filter box
