How about a few more detailed pic's of the sump guard - I plan to get one!

Thanks..

I can do that! But wait till weekend, this week is pretty intense for me, jobwise...

HAHA, dirty pics. I'd love to, but the weather is a pain in the ass and jobwise it's pretty hard right now. So let's see what's up at the weekend or in the near future. I'll post the dirty Ten!

UAU, quite few mods.
Congratulations.
Did you do the cost calculation?
Might be interesting number :P

I did the calculation... :O
The total amount for accessories/mods is about 5500. This number is WITH the Zega Pro panniers and the GPS system!
So you can minus 600 for the Zegas and 500 for the GPS. So the mods with the panniers system from Touratech are about 4400 which seems about right.

Why I did this? It's my dream bike. I like the pros and love the cons ;-)
No seriously, I think it'll last for the next couple of years and it hopefully stays a reliant buddy on and off the road.

Have a nice evening.

It's only money & you're braver than me adding it all up!

The TT sump guard is great (got one), but be aware if you get the toolbox (got one also) it won't open wide enough to get tools without taking the skin off the back of your hand as the lid hits the header pipes!! Nice idea, but flawed. I'm going to take the hinge bolts out and replace them with quick release pins, so the whole lid comes off.

By the way, nice mods Zak! Have you lost the skin on the back of your hands like me?

Yes, it can be a pain in the ass. But I putted all my tools in a waterproof bag and stuffed it right in. It fits lovely, so the tools don't get all dirty and sandy from driving around and when I open the flap I easily manage to get the tool bag out.

Nice idea about the hinge bolts. It'd be worth trying it out! But I never lost any skin on the back of my hands ;-)

Cheers!

Maybe I've just got big hands!

I've got big hands as well. But I'm not 100% satisfied with the toolbox either. Nice idea though.

Anyway, you've just inspired me to sort it. Been in the shed tonight and found two 5x10mm stainless clevis pins and two R clips. 5 minutes later job done! Thanks.
