here it is

Gosh finally managed to do it!!
Such a pig of a site. It doesn't work properly with opera and can not load PDF's:computer:

it looks that you are missing the bottom braket (5). It is a substantial unit.
Make sure you fir all the rubber grommets. I have had no change in engine sound nor vibration or bolts getting loose, because of them (I think)
Also critical is item 1
Good luck

Well after some fun and games I finally got my bash plate fitted. The secondhand standard one did not come with the rear bracket so after a failed attempt by a friend to make me a bracket (of which he had my bike over a whole weekend! I had to dust off the tools and do it myself.

I made a rough template, used some box section and flat bar, drilled the relevant holes and cut/trimmed to suit. Welded the two pieces together and painted it. Gota few bolts/washers and nyloc nuts and job done.

Its not the prettiest of jobs but it is rock solid and works. Also fitted some new hand guards and crash bungs. Its looks ok now...

Same question as before...

Just reviving this old thread because the pics have been removed and so doesn't answer my question.

Can anyone tell me (or, even better, show with a pic or attach pdf mounting instructions) how the genuine XTR / XTX skid plate mounts at the rear? Specifically, keen to know whether they attach to the open loop brackets at the bottom of the frame (i.e. that same section where the suspension link attaches to, if that makes sense).

Thanks in advance!
