I have a Motorola Defy, and to be honest the web browsing is pretty good. I did see the Tapatalk option come up, but I just can't see any reason to pay to see the same website that I can see as clear as day on my screen.
My daughter has an iPhone, and I have to say I don't think the display is as good as the Defy. Doesn't bounce as well either!
I see solutions on the lookout for problems all the time in this industry.

tapatalk reformats the forum so browsing is much more intuitive and easier to see and navigate on a small, touch controlled screen (insert favourite brand of smart phone here). It doesn't add anything you cannot already see on conventional web browser. Personally, as a 'middle aged' (read poor near eyesight and fat fingers!) although relatively tech savvy iPhone user I find tapatalk much easier to navigate around some of my favourite forums.
My first preference is always a PC, but I am not always around a PC and when travelling an iPhone is extrordinarily useful. And as for the cost - at A$3.99 - it really is a non-issue.
Try it, you won't go back to a web browser . . .
