Kev - received and installed on the XTR 5 minutes later. That must be a record for the quickest upgrade to a bike ever!
:respeck: The result, fantastic and immediately noticeable. I'm happy to add my name to the long list of those that recommend this device. :applause: Combined with the fuel mod, the bike is much nicer to ride at slower speeds and also down low in the rev range for each gear. Exactly what I was hoping to achieve! Cheers, Dale |
Thanks for your feedback Dale, glad you are happy with the results.:coolsmiley:

Hi Kev,
Just ordered (ebay) the O2 mod... Looking forward to surge free riding on my 2010 bog standard xtx! jc |
Hey Kev
I have been through this thread with interest, but I still have some - probably quite dumb - questions. I have 2011 XT660Z with DNA stage 3, LV exhausts, PCV and drilled throttle body. Would you recommend O2 optimiser for this set-up - do you think it will make noticeable difference in the running of the bike? If I understand explanation few pages back, it should at least adjust the Close loop regardless of the add-ons so my guess would be that it should. Another question - the bike runs quite well with the mods, but is noticeable chirpier and smoother in cold air temperatures and more sluggish and rough at higher temperature. Would this mod help with making it more consistent, or do I need to do something else - some kind of booster plug that will trick the temperature sensors? As I said I have already PCV on the bike and the bike was dynoed by Freez (but before the throttle body drill). Thank your for feedback. |
In the closed loop mapping there are only 2 mods that can adjust the A/f ratio & they are Dyno jets O2 Optimizer & on my 2012 O2 controller.
A PCV will have no effect on the mapping in the closed loop, so adding the mod will not affect the PCV map at all. Fitting one of the O2 sensor controlling mods will smoothen your ride when you are on the cruise & light throttle openings. If you have fitted a bored throttle body after the custom map the A/F ratio will now be lean & will require a new map. |

Hey Kev, looks like the Nuda might suffer from this as well. I might be getting one (Nuda) - just looking at the forum and there is a topic on it 'hunting'. Rode one yesterday ... no hunting, but they say it starts after a while.
I'll be up in Brisbane soon, you near there? Maybe sort out a version for the Nuda? Doesn't seem to be a DynoJet O2 optimizer for it. I know it worked a treat on he XTX |

Can you send me some detailed photo's of the O2 sensor plugs I need to see if I can get the OEM plugs + need to see the pin locations of the wires PM me your Email address & we will talk further, I am always looking for new challenges, I am in Brisbane if you know of anyone with a Nuda tell them to contact me. |
Great - good to see you're busy.
Don't know if this will help, but the Nuda motor/chassis is based on the BMW F800gs, so I imagine the connectors will be the same. I'm 1-4 weeks off getting my Nuda (can't wait) but I have posted in the forum asking for pictures - http://www.nudaforums.com/forum/show...ng-at-low-revs. If worse comes to worst, I can go into the dealer and ask to have a look. I might be coming up to Brisbane but I am 2-3mths off moving (also could be Cairns or Townsville, depending on work) - definitely QLD though. So over Melbourne (from Sydney) |
I am intressed in this mod.. Where can I buy it and what's the price?
I assume that My xt660x 2007 has an O2-sensor? Is the o2 sensor the same as the lambda sond? I have a connection for something like that on My left exhaust-pipe.. Is this the o2-sensor? I want My bike less jerky in lower speeds.. I have BSM slipon, K&N-filter and a GPR powerjet.. Thanks in advance! |
