In all honesty, my history is in mechanical, I am afterall just starting my 4th year in my apprenticeship (but still go to college for an HNC!)

This whole thing was entirely new concept to myself and went through a couple of variations untill I took Kev's idea on board and developed it into what you see here. I knew very little of transistors, circuits or anything of the sort before hand and had to learn it all as I went along. Thank goodness for Wikipedia :110:

But Kudos to Kev for his findings as without it we'd not even be having this conversation!

You've done a good job so far Daz...and it looks like you've had fun doing it too!

Has been a lot of fun! Enjoy tinkering with electrical things despite being mechanical biased and you'd never believe my suprise when I built the very first scraggly messy board and connected it up to a car battery in the garage only to see it work!

Yes, you guys are on to something here. A very important mod.

Kev, I would really like one of these when fully developed, tested etc. Put me down for one. If things progress at a good pace Kev, and you are happy with it, I would like one before my next dyno in 3 weeks,, (which I could delay....), even if its not the fully commercial model.

Well done to both Kev the inventor, and Dazmatic for his development. (that's fair isn't it?)

I will be putting my bike back to standard to test the mod over a few weeks to iron out any bugs.

If Nigel can make up a mod for you we would be greatful to see it run on the dyno. I will fill you in to what we need tested if Nigel can get one to you in time. :walk:

Kev, that would be great if that were possible....my bike is running really well (but not quite optimised) , so I am not in a hurry for the re-dyno, unless the dyno tell me otherwise.......

Guess what...

I went out and did a little bit of shopping today.

Looks like KITTs baby...

These aren't finished items by the way, these are 'For Testing Purposes Only'

I'm hoping I can set these up as a bolt on thing though so say for a real world example, someone like Richard here can just hook it up without the need for adjustment.

Including mine thats fitted to the bike currently, I have enough bits to make about 3 or 4ish.

However, seeing as the one fitted to my bike is a prototype, I see its only fair that I have a special one, so I shall make that with future upgradability should something else come along that can be intergrated with it :tongue5:
(don't ask what though cause I don't know myself, its just because I can :icon_thumright: )

The finished articles will have loads of flashing multi coloured lights, sirens, some wings to enable flight and a go-faster stripe though :icon_thumright:

yip...Bells and Whistles as well on my one please!! (just 'cos ):098:

dazmatic 22-08-10 22:43

I'll just be happy to get another battery for my laptop!
It's just a pain in the rectum having to open the garage, reel out the extension reel, boot the thing up etc...

Should get the map of it soon though, then should have some results to show :seasaw:

When do you think they will be available for sale and how much will they cost please?

dazmatic 22-08-10 23:21

Currently, I honestly can't say.

Just because I have a version sitting on my desk, its still a while off before anything can be decided upon when and how much as there is still much more work and testing to be done.

Kev and I are working on this and will hopefully have something sorted in due course.

It's nice to see some interest though!

Come to think about it Kev, might it be an idea to see what interest there is?
Does seem a little daft to put all this work into something only to find there's no interest.
Food for thought anyway.

Paul Curtis 22-08-10 23:30

Well you can count me as interested
