When you start the bike does it sound any different than normal? Ie any knocking or clunking sound.

When the engine is started can you rev it or does it should funny?

When the engine cuts out is it on the pulling the clutch or just pushing the gear in?

If its the gear it must be the side stand switch, you could try cutting the wires that come down to the switch and then try putting it into gear with the wires connected and not.

i can start the bike fine dosent sound diffrent
as soon as i engage a 1st gear it dies and cuts out i can rev the bike in nutreul fine aswell,

i dont realy want to start cutting wires at the mment as i havent got another side stand switch,

i cant understand y it waqs running fine for the first 3miles home then it suddenly stopped after i went down the other side of a bridge not very steep and it died

how about the clutch, are you getting gears?

Side Stand Switch

I've had the same problem. The switch might be ok as mine was. There are 2 connections to check. If you take the side panel off above the switch and follow the wires you will find one connection. Pull it apart put some WD40 in and push back together. If you want to wire your side stand switch out so you can check your switch do it here by bridging accross the connection on the loom side. My connection here came apart too easy and that was my fault sorted.:eusa_shhh: The other connection comes from the clutch lever and is under the side of the tank. It certainly from whats been written does not sound terminal.

Youve 3 opposions really

1. Get the cans only and go from there, this is the cheapest opposion but your fuelling is maybe not the best, not that its going to wreck your engine but your not getint to get the best fuelling/ BHP per .

2. Get the cans and a Kev mod, the kev mod allows you to change the fuelling over the entire range, you basically keep changing it until you find the one that suits you best, this allows you too feel more throttle response. (Note it is best to use it combine with a Stg2 air filter to allow more air in as well)

3 Get the cans and a PC111, basically an electric box worth about 200-300 which when plugged in to your bike and run on a dyno will allow you to make a custom fuel map and your bike should run alot free'er with better throttle response. But it is expensive.

beer on me drb277 :D

ok cool how much if the Kev mod? and is it easy to do?

i may have some cans coming for 150 posted
