Hey BB King, how about some pics on that trip you did not so long ago!!!!

how much km are the tenere guys getting? 450?

Hmmm, just my .02 cents worth.

I'm a big guy on a stock 08 XTR that has Remus pipes and I'm consistently getting slightly over 21kms per litre - approx 60mpg or 4.7l per 100kms.

So a m-a-x-i-m-u-m tank range of 320kms until running on fumes.

Doesn't seem to vary too much but then maximum speed limits around here are around 100kph (~60mph) so we don't see much 120+kph stuff :laughing11:

I'm planning to lower the gearing slightly by going to a 48t rear sprocket and am considering installing a DNA stage 1 filter together with a Power Commander V along with a custom map and possibly a map change over switch to optimise highway cruising / off road options.

It will be interesting to see what happens to overall fuel consumption after those changes.

I'm planning to lower the gearing slightly by going to a 48t rear sprocket A 48 rear sprocket is the same as a 14T front, you need a longer chain for the 48T rear, you can fit the 14T front sprocket to a standard chain. I personal found a 47T tooth to be the best for me and am considering installing a DNA stage 1 filter I would go straight for the stage 2 filter far better gains in HP then a stage 1 filter, if you have the money fit both the stage 1 & 2 filters you won't be sorry together with a Power Commander V along with a custom map and possibly a map change over switch to optimise highway cruising / off road options.

It will be interesting to see what happens to overall fuel consumption after those changes. I had mine on the dyno last week with a stage 3 air box 53HP at the rear wheel with a custom fuel map made & am getting 20 kms/L in traffic.
