The can doesn't look tight enough to the bike to allow my Touratech pannier rails to fit. Looks like we're still waiting for a manufacturer to take their time and produce a pipe that follows the line of the original. Surely can't be difficult?? I guess these end cans are pretty universal and can be thrown on almost anything?

Probably why Acrapovic went for a two pipe system similar to the Yamaha one.... Our hope still rests with Simon....... |
I think i prefer the single pipe than my twin acro's, can anyone also confirm if the yam panniers will fit with the single pipe conversion?

Guysguys.guys.lets not be marketing victims..
The Tenere 2008 doesnt have a twin exhaust system. It has a single exhaust, with two holes at the end of the silencer. Its just for design aesthetics. Akra or Remus is trying to sell us, two silencers in the place of one. Not to me thank you. :fing06: As long as X-Racing replied that this system is designed for Ten 2008, I trust them not to have any problems with the exhaust valves of the cylinder head , and keep the sound under 93dB (this why the terminal is so long). The dimensions of the Oval diameter are 12,3cm x 9,5cm. so probably no problems with my Hepco frame. Also here is another patented single system. You can see a friends bike with the left side terminal, of a twin Remus Hexacone system for a Yamaha Fazer 1000. Was installed from his Yamaha dealer , enriched the FI from 6 to 10, installed a aftermarket air filter (I think K&N) , installed a custom-made fitting bracket , and insured him that he will have no problems at all, for his Athens-Greece to Edinburgh-Scotland trip next week. As you can see, the Trax panniers from SW-Motech fit perfectly. In any case , since it seems , that I m the first in here to fit (soon) the X-racing, let me be the R&D dept for XT660.com for a while , and I ll be back with more. I do notice that OTR and the X-racing single can don't flow nicely with the line of the backend of the bike, i.e. it looks slightly out of place. In addition to GULG's comment, I am guessing it's because it minimizes any kinks or bends so it maximizes air flow. But if I can choose, I would go for better look than better flow. Yes, I am shallow :) Anyone? |

I rekon this would fit:
