I hope there are some of you that made your own centre stand. I want to attemt to make one, I need to go hire a pipe bender. Maybe some of you have bought ones, and you can take some crucial measurements and post it here?

Made some adapter rails today to take an old Yamaha scooter box and mounting plate or my Oxford tankbag

The ally bar is from an old ambulance stretcher, the spacers to get the correct height are skate board bearings and 2 of the bolts are from an old bunkbed.

Not pretty but more importantly free.

Oh yeah .............my missus bagged the topbox from our local Freecycle Group too:thumbsup:

............and fitted to my old Fazer but using skateboard wheels for spacers and a BMX bar clamp to attach to the grabrail.

So gregor, I guess you have kids? How do they feel about you stealing their stuff and use it to pimp your ride? :044:

Post this here too since it fill the criteria. My tankbag:

It's a camera bag, shoulder strap holding the front. It's not big, but for me it's the perfect size: It doesn't get in my way when I stand up (that I tend to do 50% of the time), it doesn't block the ignition, and it can hold pretty much everything I need for a daytrip. The pocket at the back can be removed so I keep the valuables there, that way I can leave the tankbag on the bike if I just bring the pocket. If someone would cut the straps they would just earn half a camera bag, and I would giggle all the way to the store where I buy me another. :D

Cost: 18
