sorry to dig up a old thread, but does the rear MT-03 wheel work on the Tenere too??

I'm interested to getting a set of street use 17" front and rear, since i will use my Tenere as a DD very soon.

I see that the MT-03 have a different rear disc with 5 bolts while the XT bikes have 6 holes. but both are 240mm disc

I know both wheels use the same cush drive rubbers but I think that's where it ends. I'm sure the MT03 is for a 160 section tyre and the biggest you could get in the Tenere swinging arm is 140 .That might be chancy putting an undersized tyre on that rim.

I actually looked at Aprilia Factory Pegaso rims. Theyre spoked and gold and have a smaller tyre but I'm still doing homework

Same size tyre 160 and for anyone else looking at doing such make sure you buy wheels/cushdrive/disc’s the lot( because their are so many Pegaso options) and even then you need new bearings, spacers inside the wheel unless you want to knock them out of your originals and then you’ll need custom spacers on the outside front and back.

And that is the easy part!!!
