Suspension Adjustments Survey
 

I am curious to know from you all what sort of optimal suspension adjustments you have for both front and rear for on and off-road when it's loaded with luggage or not. Below is a little template with my adjustments, hopefully it makes it easier for everyone to provide his/her inputs while understandable for everyone else:

Onroad:
Front - Stock: 22 complete turns anti-clockwise (pls refer to p. 3-15 on owners manual for reference)
Rear - 4 (pls refer to p. 3-16 on owners manual for reference)


Offroad:
Front - Stock: 22 complete turns anti-clockwise (pls refer to p. 3-15 on owners manual for reference)
Rear - 4 (pls refer to p. 3-16 on owners manual for reference)


Luggage loaded:
Front - Stock: 22 complete turns anti-clockwise (pls refer to p. 3-15 on owners manual for reference)

Your bike lowered or not? If so, by how many minimeters?

Bike lowered by 50mm rear and 35mm front

rear spring is about 5 up from minimum

I have not played with the forks yet but I do want to stiffen them up a bit and may drop them back down to 25-30mm

I have found this set up pretty good on and off road although my exhaust shows that I have rubbed it a couple of times with the back wheel but this was before i wound up the rear spring.

If I was going to load the bike up and ride more off road I would take off my off the road bones and revert to standard heights then just stiffen up front and back.

I have short legs so the bike can feel high off road, some of this is due to the tank/saddle. I feel the tank is slightly too wide at the point where my knees are when stood up on the pegs.

the same with the saddle I think it should be slightly narrower for better movement. This is something I will look into probably mod the current set up or look for a new narrower saddle.:smilies0134:

I changed mine too: I found the stock front adjustment of 5/27 (1 being softest) was too fishy, so I tightened it at the same ratio as the rear which is 4/9 (1 being softest), and now my front is 12/27. On asphalt the steering is much more sure now. And over the wknd I found some green lanes in between farmlands in open area without trees, the suspensions adjustment was not bad, mind you it wasn't really hardcore green lanes.
