Busy Saturday Morning

Got up this morning and looked outside and although a bit cold (8C) thought I could bolt a few goodies to my bike. Its a 07 plate X with a couple of mods, heated grips, Yamaha Brush Guards and bash plate.

First off I removed the seat, side panels, original exhaust cans, airbox cover, original air filter and loosened tank covers. I then installed LeoVince X3 cans, a K&N stage 1 filter, a DNA Stage 2 Filter, Worry Brothers DNA Cover (Lovely bit of bling)

Next up it was remove the airbox snorkle and fit the Power Commander.

That just left a new Iridium spark plug and some crash bungs from Off the Road, and to reassemble my bike.

After all that work was just time to take her for a quick spin round the block to listen to that induction roar and them cans popping then in the house for a well earned cuppa and a warm up.
The finished article.

So just to recap I bought my X last month and have added a Pair of Avon Distanzias, Hand Guards, Bash Plate, Crash Bungs, LeoVince Cans K&N Stage 1 Filter, DNA Stage 2 Filter, Worry Brother Filter Cover,Iridium Spark Plug and a Power Commander 3. And now I think she's nearly ready, just got to book some dyno time to set her up properly. My wife will kill me :violence: if she finds out how much I have spent on my X now. Why o why did I find xt660.com, you have led me astray. Only free mod was snorkle removal. Thanks for all the tips and advice lads, roll on the summer. :bling:

Now.... you get 10 points for all the items you fitted but you 100 points alone just for the Distanzia tyres in my book!! Well done, I love it!!

No messing around by you, well done mate. Tell the wife they are all safety mods to keep you safe.

You now have enough power to get out of the way in an emergency, you are more noticeable by car drivers as they can now hear you as well as seeing you. Definitely safety mods in my eyes.
