Pads mileage

What sort of mileage are you getting out of your front and rear pads and what make are they ?

Just done my 07 XTX OEM rears at 8500kms (5200miles)

My 04 XTX front OEM were done at 24000kms (15000miles) & rears at every 10000kms (6250miles)

No off road use at all.

My standard ones lasted about 20k each, but the replacement front dont seem to be lasting as long. I just went for the standard EBC ones so to get the discount off because of this site.

Rear pads replaced at 6k miles, front still going strong at 9k miles.

Rear: Upgraded to the FA208R (EBC Rear), seem to be doing well, let you know in 3k miles.
Rear: FA208R at +6Kmiles approx 20% left, swopped them out rather than let them get down to the metal.

Does anyone know of a service / spring kit for the calipers?

Regards

Si

Bear in mind Jase that the Tenere's have got a different front brake setup to the X and the R's

A lot depends on riding type also. 10k motorway miles and mine are hardly worn at all on my Ten :)

my orignals must have been something like 9000 miles,i then went to EBC double HH cost alot and gone in no time waste of money braking did not improve no great shakes, yet these pads have always been great on other bikes ive owned. For the XT i now use versah nice and cheap and work hey ok mileage unknown but from now on will just use cheap pads http://www.xt660.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

I managed to munch through a rear in 5k miles after several juants offroad in a wet and sandy Suffolk, the last one ate half the pads in an afternoon.Replaced with the red EBC pad.

The fronts look fine after 7k miles.
