Led indicators...

Hello!!!
I have been searching on ebay for a while about Led indicators, resistors and relays . Can someone who has bought them enlighten me....
Would you recommend the Made in China ones with 5-10 $ οr the European ones 17-35 $ ?

I used the ones from China & sealed them with silicone so they are water tight before fitting them.:coastguard:

There is even a Kev LED resistor mod, if you want to make your own one.

Or I could buy 2 resistors from a local electronics store and make my own... But how many Ohms ? I ll have to find out myself by measuring the amps of the lamp and the led's, to see how much they consume ... I am correct ? So on your mod 21Watts div 12 Volts = 1.75 Amps for both . 12 Volts div 1.75 Amps = 6 KΩ, so 3 KΩ for each one of the led indicator.

If you want to use resistors you will need 30 to 50 watts 6/10 ohms resistors to get the flash rate right it all depends on the led indicators you buy & the flasher relay load, you have to measure the LEDs & relay first.

I would first start with 50W resistors first & play around with the ohms if you are unable to measure the LEDs & relay.

My 21w bulb mod works perfectly & no calculations needed & no messing around playing with resistors.
