Thanks for clearing that up for me :signthankspin:

Ahh, maybe not the same but I used something similar to repair a puncture on one of my old street bikes... After a week or so I removed the tire to change it and all the white goo stuff that was supposed stick to the tire inside it and repair it was just loose inside (it still fixed the puncture though), don't know if it was the temperatures at that time that did it. We almost 30 Celsius degrees then or then again maybe it is supposed to work like that :D

Its a green sticky goo that you inject into your (deflated tyre) then inflate to the correct pressure. You then take your bike for a spin and evenly coat the inside. You can then bang a nail in to the tyre and pull it out and hey presto instant nano second seal with no loss of pressure. It is tested to 180mph and gives you the security of never getting a puncture and getting the full life out of the tyre.

Although I don't have it in my current bikes (I will have soon) I have used it in the past to repair a puncture and it is brilliant.:043:

Its only a stupid question if you know the answer brother!

Sounds very simliar to the green goo we get here in the UK called slime (same stuff kiethblades talking about), but maybe yours what white stuff.

flat free

i also use a product called ...flat free...put 4oz in each tyre and it runs round as a cold liquid, you can then run over nails, screws etc, and seals the tyre in an instant..........excellent stuff.....and the original.
ray :-)

Would this also balance it so you wouldn't have to use the led weights? Just wondering since it's kind of the same thing... If it's running around in there.

I have heard of the beads but didn't know much about them. I do now. My opinion is, compaired to the green goo they seem to have no other use than to balance the tire where the liquid does help with punctures as well. I recently changed a tire and the liquid caused little or no problems. If the beads fall out you will be sweeping them up for weeks. To be fair an XTR isn't the quickest bike on the road so is tire balance that important.

Just out of interest, can does ultraseal or slime work in tubed tyres?
Only asking because it's just occured to me that I'll have spoked rims on my XTX.
I do use slime now in my Hornet rear tyre but they're tubeless.

Yes you can get slime that works in tubed tyres, should say on the bottle the differences, mostly a different picture i think. Think they are around the same price as well.

Havent got round to getting some put in my tubes of the XTR.
