power commander III

Hello to everyboy, I need some helpfull informations. I'm acquiring one power commander III USB used mapped (or built?) for an yamaha MT-03.
Now, I'm not sure that this device fits on my xtx, but should be...
the part nr for PCIII xtx is 412-411, while in this PCIII for MT03 is written 422-412.
I guess that the difference is about the wiring, the plugs, so it can be fitted just peeling some wire, but I need someone that can confirm or no this..........
Thanks Ciao

I would expect the MT03 PCIII would be simular to the XT's. Will it fit, I guess we are going to find out.

Injector, TPS plugs & an earth to the battery is what is needed for the XT's PCIII, I am not sure what is connected to the MT03's PCIII.

PC III to XTZ?

Hi Kev, this thread has got me thinking... I have a PC III in my shed, left over from my Ducati 999s, part no. 714-411, and the part number for an XT-R is 412-411.
My bike is actually a 2008 XT660Z Tenere, but do you think my existing PCIII could be made to fit? Do you think the "411" part of the number means that it's the same basic unit? If so, do you know where I'd get hold of wiring diagrams so I could mod it? I'm an Auto-Electrician to trade, so I don't mind a bit of chopping about, especially if it saves me 280!! :unibrow:

It's not how they are wired but more how the input information is processed by the PCIII.

Most PCIII have the same inputs to the PCIII as in TPS ETC, but with very different information as voltages, inputs & outputs. I do not think it can be done, I do not know of anyone who has done it either.

Cheers for that, it was worth a try. I guess I'll have to fork out for a new one.
