It wasnt t2e top box lol............

Storm 14-12-06 19:57

Ok, bit of a vague one...

Either a blue or black or gray XTX, didn't catch the plate year. Standard cans, with all it's stickers. Rider was wearing an Arai Tour-X lid in either silver or gray. Come to think of it, the stickers were the 04/05 style...

Gave me a thumbs up outside Oval station on my way home tonight.

Would have stayed to chat, but an ambulance went past with blues and twos, and I had to chase it! Anyone seen 'Die Hard with a Vengence'?!!!?

Storm

Fatty 15-12-06 12:06

Nice cans Storm, if you don't mind me saying so!

Was a bit busy trying to get out the way of the ambulance and ******* scooter riders, but did notice through the murk some 2" blue flames popping out the back on the over run. nice.

See you back there soon I hope!

Nice one! Good to see another member out there on the road - You looked a bit tangled up with the scooter nutters, so I thought I'd better get out of the way!! I'll keep an eye out for you in future. What's your normal route? I go from South Wimbledon to Tower Bridge, then Limehouse Link to Canary Wharf.

Hi Guys, It's been a while since my last post. Been really busy with work and family. The Black XTX was more than likely me and yes it was a wave :D

Skeeter 16-12-06 22:20

Nice one Kiwi, glad I managed to see another site member.

A3 through to Kennington, then up through to Southwark Bridge and into the City. I find that's long enough to wake me up in the morning, and gives me a great view of just how badly people drive in London! Happy days... Merry Xmas one and all, by the way!

Skeeter 08-01-07 10:21

Location: Lower Thames Street
Time: 7:45am ish
Bike: XT660 (not sure whether is was an X or an R)
Colour: Blue
Exhausts: Standard

Gave a big wave. I was on a black XTX with arrow pipes.

CaptMoto 13-01-07 22:56

Black XTX (perhaps gray, it was dark I was in the cage) seen in the Wandsworth/Clapham area
Reg: AJ55 AKK, own up, are you one of us?:glasses7:

zambezi 14-01-07 00:40

Cage??? Please explain...

xtfreak 14-01-07 00:42

basildon town centre ,(essex) absolutly flying, going towards the hospital on a blue xtx, slow down mate we could have had a chat. Sited about 2weeks ago. Who was that.

Storm 14-01-07 17:42

Blue XTX (and I must say - it was spotless!) @ Newlands Corner early this afternoon, it had standard cans.

Any takers?

Fran - do you have any of those business cards that you had done? If so, I want a few to keep under my seat, as I've see a few XTs parked up.

Storm

CaptMoto 14-01-07 19:20

Sure John, I have the template and the software + many more left and can print more on demand so yeah I'll give you a bunch when I'll see you next.

Question: wtf was you doing at Newlands Corner? You tart!! :D :D :D

Ooooh, get her! Nah, I was down there with some of the TLB lot. I owed one of them some cash, and took the bike to Box to meet them. We ended up riding up to Newlands, even though I had planned to come straight back!

zambezi 16-01-07 09:33

Spotted an XTX going up Bromley Hill at 1.15pm on Monday the 15th. Not sure what colour it was but it had a top box and a tail tidy that looked very tidy! I was in the van :(

Cheers, don't mind if I do

So where you from then? A quick browse suggests there's more than one Londoner in here :thumbs up:

CaptMoto 16-01-07 19:36

There's a lot of Londoners

quick list of the regulars:

Buck
Tedbair
Skeeter
Storm
CaptMoto
MrT
Speedyg
wdragon
zambezi

there are many other around the outside of London too

courier 16-01-07 19:44

London's not my homeland but that's where I've found myself.

I can normally be found blatting around in God's own county: The county of Sussex. I shan't start a county-flame-war but suffice to say I do enjoy going back there in the summer; winter's ok but it's not exactly "corner of the tyre" weather, is it? :o)

CaptMoto 16-01-07 19:46

well to be honest you only need to get a few miles out of London in any direction to find some lovely twisty roads. I find the Billingshurst stretch of West Sussex to have some really interesting roads myself.

courier 16-01-07 19:57

I've got family in Billinshurst. The A272 is a cracking bit of road.

Never ridden the whole thing but the first ever time I got a peg to touch down (on a CB400) was on that road just coming into the village :)

CaptMoto 16-01-07 20:02

As you go towards the Billingshurst village just past that posh Sotheby's manor house / auction house whatever it is, you see that new elevated section of road, well under it there are loads of small roads and bridges over some small rivers before the small farm with the children zoo. Well that is the road I mean. Built for supermoto's that is.

courier 16-01-07 20:06

Never heard of the children's zoo but yes, BH is super scratching terriotory.

I might venture out for a play with some of you guys when the weather's warmer. I suppose a good place to meet would be the Little Chef on the same stretch of road as Southerby's.

CaptMoto 16-01-07 20:11

Its not exactly a zoo its a one of those open farms with baby animals that you take your kids to feed lambs, sheep and piglets, I took my son there once so that's how I found out about them roads, see?

Buck 16-01-07 21:28

.welcome to the forum .Our favourite play ground, kent /surrey,time for a convoy i reckon, the weather is quite mild ,just needs the rain to piss off.

midlife crisis 17-01-07 14:37

Just this minute (1320 Wed 17th) spotted a lovely gray XTX 'pop-popping' around Golden Square W1 presumably looking for a much coveted parking bay there. No graphics, a few stickers, great sounding pipes. Rider had gray combat style trousers and looked a tad miffed at the parking shortages.

C'mon, fes up, was that you and did you find somewhere to park?

(P.S. Billingshurst and surrounding area? Get's the thumbs up from me bruv-in-law lives there so get to ride down there a bit :thumbsup[1]: )

That sounds like it could have been Mick, Gray XTX, CCCo Cans and Lairy Trousers! Was he wearing a black and white lid, and did he have a lock carrier on his seat?!

Time to wrap up warm. Tomorrow's the last of the mild days if you believe the weather forecasts and a convoy sounds like a great idea.

Anyone one know who the <spit> KTMers are that go to Rye? They look like coppers to me but I guess no-one's perfect.

Wow Tony, you know what? I am yet to see an orange one on the road? I have seen them in the dealers but not yet one being ridden :108:

AJT690KTM 23-01-07 22:46

Parked in Brighton on the A270 just up from the pier, by one of the university buildings, a blue R.
