Blue TENERE Hamilton, Leics.
I saw a blue Tenere today about 9am(ish) just outside Hamilton near Leicester. Was it anybody on here? I think the rider had a blue and white jacket on. He was balancing stationary while giving way to two cars and me in a white Sprinter van at a narrow section of road.
I was quite excited as it's the first one I've seen out on the road! I must say the blue ones look very nice. :icon_thumleft: Barry. |
I was in luck today, 3 XTs in London on my way back from work:
- Lovely white on Borough High Street - Blue (best colour ;)) on great dover street - Another blue parked up in New Cross All my favourite XT, the X :D Now, not wanting to start a flame war, but are Tenere riders then new BMW GS riders? Every Tenere rider I've seen on my commute (so, like the GS riders, the type who keep their bike spotless, never take it near any mud or sand) have big panniers, usualy not bothered about holding up a load other bikes that can't get passed, and NONE have ever nodded or waved or said hi when I passed. I usually always get waves back from X and R riders. |
Another Blue TENERE, Stone Staffs.
I saw another blue Tenere today on the A34 between Stafford and Stone about 1pm (I think). Rider had a black open-face helmet and a camouflage jacket.

XT660X on A619 between Chesterfield & Worksop
First XT660 I've spotted on the road since getting mine! Twas only a glimpse, a blue XT660X and I *think* a black XT660X, stopped in the pouring rain in a layby on the A619 at Barlborough (just off M1 J30) heading towards Worksop.
I was in the back of an S reg Escort partaking in a venture with a couple of work mates during our dinner hour to see if the rumour was true that vibrating c*ck rings were available for �1 in one of the PoundStretcher type shops in Worksop. Sadly after scouring all three 'Pound' shops we came away disappointed, so we had to make do with sausage rolls and a "USB massager" for just �1, its similar to this http://www.usbgeek.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=0081, and caused hilarity all afternoon. im quite disappointed ive onyl seen two other xt's since i got mine the first was comin out of dover, blue and gold not sure wat the rider was wearin or anything,
the second was this weekend on saturday a black xtx all stickers removed pulled up beside me, and then was forunate to meet them in rye when stopped for ice cream |

Pfft never got spotted. You'd think with the ' Ultimate XT660 Accessory - a TeDiuM900 Carrying Camping Equipment' i'd be pretty damn conspicous.

4pm, in the rain, Holyhead Road, Telford, spotted a blue XT660X going the other way. I was on my black Tenere.

About 1530 hours on M54 near Cosford, saw another black Tenere going the other way. Funny thing was I saw the bike from a distance and thought it looked awesome. Only when it got closer did i realise it was a Tenere, and I was riding exactly the same bike!

Turning into Cemetry Road a couple of weekends ago - you were turning right and your XT cut out as you changed down - I was in a Volvo C30 turning left and I said "mine does that" as you turned in - I think you thought I may have been taking the mickey and quite possibly told me to ****** off :-)

About 8.30ish parked infront of the capitol radio building 05 BLUE with blue carbon cans (looks wicked) think i have seen this one b4 nr sutton but may be wrong. |

on the way to work, from houses of parliment to shaftsbury avenu black 07 xtx with stumpy carbon cans, guy not wearing any bike boots
on the way home stockwell station blur 07 with standard cans, guy was a bit to short for the bike, as he told me =] |
Red XTX
Saw A red xtx on A55 Going east towards Chester being followed by a BMW boxer twin something. Around 12.20pm in the Prestatyn area. Wouldn't of noticed me going in other direction, sadly not on my xtx.:50:

this morning white 08 xtx, with scorpion cans, was riding behind all the way from nr stockwell to vaxhall bridge, where he went towards waterloo,
your bike looked the business, with that red stiching on the seat and the cans!!! might be where im a bit fat on my bike but it was super quick aswell :) |
Tenere coming up Woodhead pass from Holmfirth around noon on Saturday 17th April, I was coming down on my black XTX. Too much sun and speed to catch the colour but if I had to guess I'd say it was white.

White Tenere on the M5 2 weeks ago (bank holiday) going North. I was also on a White Tenere fully loaded after a trip heading south

White XTX around 13.30 today, Fri 2nd July 2010, leaving Clowne heading towards Barlborough (NE Derbyshire) - possibly going to the B&M Honda closing down sale (60% off everything, result on boots and a pair of cold killers for me!).

Black Tenere at Grange Mill in Derbyshire, riding with what i think was a KLR, possibly KLX, around 1pm (04/07/2010) This is the A5012.
