bike going in workshop on thursday, my speedo is playing up, waiting at traffic lights speedo is telling me i`m doing 20mph !! and on the motorway it (speedo) won`t go over 45-48, have no error codes on dash, must be all this sunny weather we are not having!!!! otherwise bike going great

jt`s swansea bought it from them, plus its close to where i work

Let me know how you get on with them as they are the ones that turned my corrosion claim on the engine down even though Yamaha gave them the ok .

my previous xt was a 05 plate they turn me down when i tryed put a warranty claim in, seem this one has a a faulty speedo sensor, dealer said they are puttting a warranty claim in to yamaha and they should have the part by wednesday, if they were confident of the claim going through why they did`nt take one off the four xtx they have in the show room ?

Never have liked JTs since them trying to rip me off when they were in wind street (long time ago) but since they are the closest Yamaha dealer will have to pop in tomorrow to order a relay as it's genuine Yamaha part :021:

I've had no problems with JT'S, bought the current XT660R off them.I bought a new XT600E from them in '97 and had four warrenty claims ie. new front disc,boost bottle (had two of them) and shroud screws all were done with no hassle.

Feeling much better,was out last Sunday after a 3 month lay off, we did 7 hours with lots of breaks, good fun.Don't know if i'll be out on the big Yam or the little 'un this w/end nice to have a choice.

called in to jt`s today to find out about my warrrant claim, they didn`t phone to say the part was in (not the first time this has happened) mechanic fitted the new speedo sensor, did not fix the problem then they tryed a new display they had in stock, that didn`t fix it, now my bike is with them for a week to try and sort as i am off on holiday for a week
