Air Filters

Does anyone know where I can buy a K&N stage one filter and a DNA stage two filter in the UK or Europe ?
CCC only seem to have DNA sets available on their website ??

I've seen K & N filters on ebay.. Around the 35 quid mark i think..

CCC sell the DNA Stage 2, but may well sell the K&N or DNA stage 1 filter as well.
The K&N stage 1 is defo on e-bay, if you search under XTX parts you will see the link.

Try www.bandcexpress.co.uk, not too sure if its k&N or piper cross that they do but im told there is not really much difference in proformance/life

J_maker 29-08-08 23:11

stick with the K&N (for stage 1) I've seen a thread that piper cross user faced a problem fitting the airbox cover.. maybe I am wrong, but is was something around this case...:102:

Yes either get a K&n or DNA for the main filter replacement, if you use a pipercross its apparently too wide and doesn't allow you to fit a DNA stage 2 filter.

I will ask here...
What is the difference between these two filters, since there is big price difference.
This K&N filter for 79:

and this DNA filter for 44.90:

Please for some info, so I will be able to decide right.
I use aftermarket exhaust pipe and will fit soon Kev Fuel Mod if its any important.
Thank you.

As no one has answered,I've found the opposite when looking at price the DNA is the more expensive by some margin, although considered to be the better one as it shifts more air,if you get a DNA cheaper lucky you.

The question was also posted in the ASK KEV section where I answered the question in depth within an hour.

I agree normally it is the other way round. I would buy the DNA even if it were more expensive as it have more air flow & more filtering than the K&N filter.

Here are some of the facts.
