Faded seat on my XTX

The color & material pattern have disappeared on one side of my seat, it's now a dirty shade of brown. Trawling the net i discovered that Bagster recover seats for the XT. Does anybody have one of their seats or now of someone who does?

You can buy a new one via your local YAM dealer. They are approx 20-25 if i remember rightly. You then need someone to fit it for you, i found a local chap and that cost an additional 10.

The Yamaha seat covers used to be dirt cheap, I bought my first one when I changed the colour of the bike from gray/black to red/black in 2005 and costed me 18 plus vat, now the same one I bought 5 weeks ago was 38 plus vat!! incredible mark up but they showed me the prices on their computer system and I couldn't argue with them. grrrr

It might have to do with the fact that the red/black is a discountinued range and that for them to keep the item in stock they need to bump up the prices, who knows, If that is true then the current colour covers might still be cheaper.

Kev had a new black seat made by someone in Oz that looked the mutts nuts, give him a pm and he may be able to put you in touch with the guy. He may still do the same stuff in colours that you want for a good price.
