ISR Master Cylinder & Levers

Has anybody fitted or used the ISR levers?
Expensive, but they look the part and apparently are very very good.

And they do a matching cable clutch lever.

Very tempted, but not sure if I could justify the cost though.

driesie,

I have fitted the ISR front radial master cylinder, and boy does it make a difference. Given that the XT only has a single front disc the fliexibility of the ISR allows you to alter the position of the brake lever as well as the pressure ypu wish to apply. In my view, the best 250 you will ever spend.

I also fitted the ISR clutch lever to match, but as we have all said on this forum, its down to an individuals preference, however, the front brake cylinder sure makes for some great fron end braking power i can promise you that, without a shadow of a doubt.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.
I'm very tempted. The bike had a brembo radial mc when I got it, and I liked it when it worked ;) Never really got to the bottom of what was wrong with it, I think it was leaking through one of the seals. At the moment I have a brembo MC from a Monster, which is probably quite similar to the stock item, and it's ok, but I'm thinking an upgrade would be good (the monster item looks bad too, it's kind of a bronze colour).
I'm very tempted with the ISR.

Was the clucth lever a simple swap? Does it use the same cables as the standard?

All items use the std cable/fitments. However, if you want to use the std mirrors then you need to order the correct handlebar clamps so that your existing mirrors just thread into the ISR brake/clutch cylinder. I think they are either an extra 10 or 20, can't fully remember, or just ensure that when you order you need to fit the existing YAM mirrors on the ISR's.
