Distanzia

Just spoken direct to Avon by my tyre man it will be at least another 3 wks before going into production and there is already a back log of orders,so you more like looking at 5 wks to get hold of them.
Its broken my heart to have to go elsewhere but got good price on Dunlop mutants supermotard. Please dont say if good or not must have open mind and find out myself.

Johnno,

As i lsited before the Distanzias are available in Europe and i shipped a rear tyre in last week at a slight increase above UK prices.

Pirelli have just released a new Scorpion tyre which is very similar in style to the Distanzia, although i have never tried those, yet!!

Use the Internet and source your Distanzias, you know you are worth it.

Mutants

Bought some anyway, they arrive tomorrow, 159 for a pair deliverd. Phoned up my local motrobike shop to ask about fitting them and they said as I didnt buy the tyres from them it would cost 70 to fit them, I told them to f#@k off. Shame as they are less than half mile from my house, so now I have my XT with a flat back tyre and no garage close by to fit my new Mutants. So frustrating.

if u take wheels out yourself National tyres charge 10 per wheel but make sure they have the protectors for painted wheels. Also there is a charge at bike shops for getting rid of your old tyres its around 5 per tyre when you get a price see if they will knock a tenner off if you take old tyres with you.All the best

Dunlop Mutants

Well they arived today, I have a set of Dunlop Mutants and found a mobile bikegarge about five miles from my house, who will change them both for 30, The Bad news is they sent me a 150/ 60 rear instead of the 160/60, phoned them up and I will have my 160/60 tomorrow, and the bike garage cant do it until mid next week. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

My bike will be back on the raod one day

Mutants

Well took the day off work, Got a full set of Mutants the right size, found a garage that will do the tyre change but not balance :-( for 50 cash tomorrow, would have done it today but couldnt get innertubes. So pumped up my tyre and put my bike into yamaha tonght to have its 6000 mile sevice tomorrow morning, Its on 6475 so a little over due lol, So will pick it up from yamaha tomorrow lunchtime, pump tyre up again as it only lasts for about half hour then goes flat, (found the nail in it today) pick up the inner tubes from them too, Then ride to the garage that will fit them but not balance them for 50 :-( Yamahas tyre thing is broken apparently so they cant do it. So I should fingers crossed have my bike back by tomorrow late afternoon.

And who said bikes were easy, only two tyres not four, yeah right.

After riding 180 miles on the mutants first impressions are there ok on wet.damp, dry rds but are not superglued to the rd like Distanzias.I could run to the edge of front and rear tyres on Distanzias ,ive now got 10mm chicken strips its going to take abit of time to readjust.Best If you can hold out untill Distanzias are back in shops

Bear 13-08-08 20:07
