Anyone used BikefarmMV.de?
I just ordered some jack-up links from them, and paid money to their paypal email. I then found out that they request payment via post (eh?!) or bank transfer.
I know, my fault for not checking, but paypal recognised the email so I thought it would be no problem. I then sent them an email and got an automated German response which I think reads something along the lines of 'I will not be picking my emails up until August 16th.... This was the email I got: "Hallo, ich bin bis zum 16. August 2008 nicht da und kann die eMail deshalb nicht lesen." Anyone had any dealings with them? :sad5: |

Anyway, I got an email back from Bikefarm saying that they got my order and will be shipping in next few days! Hurrah! I will update, probably with pics, when I get them as at the mo there don't seem to be many places to buy these links and I guess it might be handy info for others. |
Well an update- the links got here 20 mins ago and they are already on. I have to say I wasn't expectant as I measured them before they went on and they were 80mm CtoC. My old ones were 85mm and I thought that Kevs ones were 74mm?
Anyway, I fitted them and have ended up with a 23mm rise at the axle which to be honest I can barely notice- the bike doesn't look much different. Oh well, they aren't coming off now and I have a set of stock 85mm links going free to a good home if anyone wants them - I heard they are a jack-up on an XTR? Free for collection from Billericay, Essex. |
