I have been looking at the XT660 R/Z for a while now but I had doubts about it's offroad capablities but you just proved me this is the bike i need :eusa_clap:

bigian 24-11-09 02:21

I use the xt660r every day to trvel to work through the forest on fire breaks and dolermite forest roads. It is fine for this sort of riding but better with new tyres fitted with a more open tred pattern. It is heavy and anything more than this sort of riding and you will soon find its limit. I have just recently given my bike a searious diet and shed aprox 30kg. This has improved the bike vastly and given you want to use it on road mostly i think it is a far better bike than than suzuki Dr400. I had a 400dr for some time but found it under powered especialy if you need to carry a pilion.

hono 25-11-09 21:23

could you told us what you have done for your bike?

iam very intrested to do same to my bike.

it will float better if it would be 30 kg lighter....

http://forums.offipalsta.com/picture...ictureid=46347

and it would be easier to lift also

again great video hono, i was wondering if you have somewhere the sound of your metal mule... how does it sound with this 2in1?

Gerhard Beukes 09-02-10 15:21

Hey Bigian!!!, enough with this teazing us all with that claim that you shed 30kg.....we are starting to believe that you weighed your bike with empty fuel tank, no oil in system, front and back wheels removed and seat and toolbag removed...that will shed 30kg easily off any bike
Common, tell us!!!

Adventure Boy 12-04-10 17:27

Just read this thread and spat cake all over my keyboard 30KG 66LBS having a bike without wheels does not constitute riding it lol
are the tyres filled with helium
come on dude shed some light on the weight saving, at that weight the bike would be roughly the same weight as a DRZ400 with 20bhp more what a weapon that would be :pjrflash_Q2CCBE:

Hi Bikila
I bought the screen from off the road in Germany earlier this year. I can't remember the model and it doesn't seem to be on the website any more. It maybe worth dropping them an email and asking. Sorry I can be more helpful. http://www.off-the-road.de
Cheers

bikila 29-04-10 22:28

Thanks Agricon! I'll send an email to off-the-road.

Hi HONO, you totally did the biggest and most impressive mod on that Xt of yours....you started with a XT, and you changed it into a submarine..

:notworthy[1]:

one litre swamp water for breakfast
one litre river water for lunch
24 cans (0,5 l) of beer during sauna
100 g of high quality russian vodka for dinner
100 g of bad russian cognac for health before sleep

and some mineral water during riding day just for.......

alltogether enough for healthy and sporty life

Woottonboy 15-08-10 13:56
