Best Insurance Company For XT660R
 

Hi folks, newbie to the forum here so apologies if this isn't the correct place to ask.

I'm planning on getting an 06 XT660R next week and have been looking around for online insurance quotes but haven't been able to find any companies, even Bennetts, that list it. They all list the X and some list the R from 07 but the 06 or earlier is nowhere to be seen.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately the online list only shows the 660X again and the quote from here is �60 more than the equivalent 660X one from Bennetts.

I'll give Bennets a ring and see if they can manually accept the 660R and will post back with the results.

I phoned Bennetts and they looked on their extended list and found a Yamaha TX 660R (obviously a typo) but said it doesn't say XT so they can't insure it.

I'll ring Carole Nash after lunch and see what happens there.

Finally found an insurance broker online that lists the XT660R and they aren't too bad on price so I'll go with them.

Bit late i think but try Ramdale, thats who im with at the moment, there online quote still says X but i phoned them about it when i got my insurance and they just said we havent up dated our list of bikes yet. (dont think they have a year on either as it still only lists the X) but 1 phone call should sort it easy.

I insured my xt through bennetts 8 days ago, well i actually phoned them to swap my insurance from the gsxr to the xt. The company i was actually insured with through bennetts would'nt take on the xt so they started up a new policy for me with Advantage Insurance through themselves. Got fully comp for 116 quid..
