Cant Stop Grinning

:yahoo:i got my bike (x) last week and then had to go away with the wife and kids for easter so it was home alone!
now im back and its firkin freezin-but i have still managed to clock up 150 miles commuting.
i used to take the most direct route but now i go through town and then down the lanes and backroads and im lovin it!
the bike feels great and i love the way it tips so easily into corners -i used to have to wrestle a naked blackbird round the twisties (honda x-11 not some nigerian dorris) but this things a blast:laughing11:.
cant wait for some decent weather so i can have a decent trip out and maybe meet up with some of you guys!
fast fatty lives just up the road from me so i will be belling him up for a rideout soon!
will post some pictures just as soon as i can get the xt660.com stickers on!
away again this weekend so another bloody weekend i cant play:009:
anyway awesome bike and great site what more can i say

Every time I get off my XTX I walk round for at least an hour like Jack Nicholson.

Will have to admit what a fun bike. Great on the 60 mile round trip to work. Just brilliant filtering through traffic. Just need to put some aftermarket cans on as I burst out laughing when I 1st started it. So quiet compared to the KTM with Akro's.

Yep im in there with the rest of you's, its a great bike even though ive the R it handles so much better than my last bike (honda deauville). They are 2 totally different bikes but the XTjust seem to be able to try anything i throw at it, touring, commuting, racing (cough cough) etcetc it all takes it.

The only really niggle that got to me while touring is the seat being hard (which i sort of fixed with a homemade inflating seat) and the tank range which i havent found a soultion to yet apart from keep stopping, or bring a petrol can with you.

cant believe I wrote this is march 08.. that was about 7 xts ago,, am now on ma 14th xt.. this being a x as ave had a few x`s and R`s.. i bought this last sunday nite, an havent been onit yet... not even a test ride just bought it.. cant wait tae get out.. even fur a half hour... ive had many many many bikes mainly trail bikes.. in fact around 350 o them...yes thats no misprint ...350 bikes... out o all them. at least 300 o them has been trail bikes.. but the xt to me is the best bike ive ever owned an ridden.. i do like singles...

as a matter of interest.. i had a MT03 during the summer there. i loved every minute o it, it handled absolutley great other than just a wee bit small fur me. but it never surged once.. a wonder why..its the same engine as a xt.. ????
