Handlebar Mirrors

As part of my continuing winter project to 'pimp' my xtx660 I've found these for sale in the States.. However no email address for company!!!

http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Equi...le_mirror1.htm

Was wondering if anyone knew of anybody selling similar in UK????

Or if anyone has an alternative which works for them??????

Just a bit fed up with the stock-looking mirrors..

Thanks in advance.. (ps... will post up my pics of bike when I've finished!!!)

Yes ive been looking for something simular to bat ear type mirrors on the ducati, but no joy. These look ok but wouldnt you be seeing your arm when looking into. And im with you on the stock looking ones.
Show us your bike then .Thanks

Danny,

I think Motrax do a 'bar-end' mirror but I'm not sure if you have the hand protectors fitted or not. Not sure what they are like but I did have a set fitted to me road legal Quad and they seemed OK!!

Do you lane-split or filter much? Every review of the Duke HyperMotard I've read has noted that its bar-end mirrors make the bike wider and therefore lane-splitting harder, unless each time you need to nip to the front of the queue you have the foresight to bend both mirrors back.

If you're not lane splitting much its not going to be a problem, but something to consider if you commute very day through the parking lots we call "main roads".

Very true about the wing mirror game, i do alot of town work and alot of this is filtering through parked traffic or 5mph traffic. Most of the roads are wide enough for the cars to more to the outters of the lane and let you slip by ok with out any problems, but there are a few places where the roads are very narrow and even if you had a push bike you couldnt filter. If i where to put mirror on my bar ends then i would have them left when i got home.

Saying that some people in the cars near dont have there's left when they get home, they just drive on to the white lines leaving you no room to move so there wing mirros get a wee clip or too by my hand guards. surves them right for driving a cage all day.

Handlebar mirrors

Hi guys, thanks for your replies with reference the above, sorry not been on earlier, was away for the weekend...:056:

Looking at the dual-star mirrors... tbh.. I think you'd be looking at the gap between your elbow and waist.. and not looking at your arm..

Don't fancy the bar end ones cos yeah I do a bit of filtering and secondly I've wrap around protectors on...

Thanks for the suggestion of emailing sales @...etc... I'll give that a try... or maybe just cut my losses and ring them... shouldn't take that long to get an email from them.:icon_study:

Thanks again for your help lads... (pics coming shortly)

let us know how you get on. they are quite interesting, and would speed up my commute no end, as the stock mirrors are exactly the same height as all the chelsea tractors in london.

why not take your left wing mirror off and keep the other one on, then you can still filter but can still just fit past those tractors on the road. You will still have to slow down but means you dont have to wait on them pulling those massive mirrors in. Just a thought.
