Do the 2007 panels fit 04/05/06 models?
Not that I want to change my panels again just yet (I prefer the original style anyway). But does anyone know if the new 2007 panels fit the old 04/05/06 style bikes.???

Ideally they should fit because all the panels are bolted onto the tank which is exactly the same on both models.
My only concern is that the old panels are also fixed to the radiator's grille and on the 07 models they have a new redesigned (smaller) radiator. Perhaps the 07 panels might not fit on 04-06 bikes around the new rad's. |
What about the passenger grab rails ?
Will the '07 grabrails fit ? My missus reckons they look nicer to hold :BangHead:

The new grabrails and pillion pegs will fit without problems.

Will the '07 model XTX rear panels (inc. tail light etc.) fit the '05 model or is it easier just to fit a tail end tidy? I ask as some of the tail end tidies don't seem to have a reflector which I understand is a legal requirement - or has someone been telling me fibs?

A rear reflector is a legal requirement.
My friend on his Gixer uses some reflective red tape on the bottom right corner of his number plate. That's all you need. I think most bike shops sell the tape. |
Dont know about that one manic mic i was told that the reflector had to be a certain size unless when doing the MOT test they will look at it as too small (like some number plates) and do you for it, but if you dont have an MOT due soon the tape would be good enough. Either that or change over to the OE one when it is due.

Whoops!!! I was wrong to post that. I just checked with my mate again and he got it wrong.
The reflector has to be central, above or below. He told me off for not noticing his wavey hand reflector on his bike the other day. Doh!!! Sorry for wrong info. :digging: |
