Off The Road Products

Has anyone bought thier engine crash protectors?.The one that bolts to the right hand side of the engine and protects the waterpump...
I ask as Im having a major sack ache trying to get one to fit.Either the top two line up or the bottom two do,but not all three.
OTR arnt interested saying no problems in over 12 years of selling them..
Please feel free to advise before I drill one through and insert a longer bolt and nut..

flip it upside down, inside out?
if it still doesn't work out, i'd send them a clear picture showing the holes don't line up...

nikroc 23-04-19 16:56

I have tried it anyway I can and no joy..I have also sent the same picture as I posted here...they offered no support whatsoever.

hannesd 24-04-19 10:26

can you post a larger pic of it all?

nikroc 24-04-19 20:27

OTR got back to me after my second ask.Never happened before..drill it out and put a nut and bolt through it.

I will try again and post pics.

Are you certain the bike has not suffered crash damage?

Hi Nikroc,

Late reply, but I got the exact same issue and give up the mount of this part.

Insteed I bought a bash plate on ebay that is protecting the water pump too.

cheers,

I ended up drilling the lower mounting point out and used a longer bolt and nut. Its nw painted in black and unless you knew of the problem, and fix youd never know..ill post a picture soon.
