Deactivating Meta passive arming
 

Hi Guys, I have a 2010 xt660z Tenere which had a Meta Def-com T alarm fitted when i bought it which has an immobiliser passive arming facility; i.e. after 50 seconds of turning the ignition off, the Meta immobiliser comes on automatically which is a nuisance as i have to disarm it every time i want to start the bike again. I contacted Abacus about this and enquired about a by-pass plug which is available for some units, however they say it's possible to de activate it as per the operating manual which i printed off but i can't find the instruction to do so. Do what we all do mate go to a bike shop and pay the �80 to have the hole thing taken off and then bin it. They are nothing but a pain. and when it gos down and it will you will be stuck in the middle of no where....... seen it to many times.
