Dna Stage 3 Liquid in bottom of filter.

Just had Dna stage 3 filters put on my bike with Leo Vince cans and power commander.
I haven't washed bike or had it out in the rain but noticed a small pool of liquid in the base on the air filter.

Is this ok? Should I mop it out?

Regards

Mark

is the liquid oily at all?..maybe over zealous use of filter lubrication...mop it out and see if it returns.

I have this problem as well. Oil is seeping out of the air box side filter (XT660Z) for some reason. If it was simply a question of excess oil I wouldn't be concerned, but eventually the filter turns from red to grey in colour, leaving it dry. Don't know what to do about it.

if the oil you guys speak of, accumulates in the RHS cover...folow that tube downwards from that side of the airfilterbox.
you should see that tube to be plugged up.
unplug it, and put a catch can underneath, and plug it back up after most of the oil has dripped out.
if all this is the case, this comes from prolonged riding at about 5000rpm (with the "wrong" breatherbox.
i too still have that old breatherbox, it is said that this issue is less with the upgraded breatherbox that was replaced as a recall, but clearely not all customers got it replaced :-)

cheers, Hannes.

It's not motor oil, but the red oil that is applied to the DNA air filters.

I thought the oil was sticky..well mine is. I use K+N oil..spray on.

Just in case anyone else has the same problem, I switched to K&N spray oil and it works much better than the DNA oil.
