Bike lift..
I saw this in M+P/Busters sale and decided I would treat myself..
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycl...Ipu1:rk:2:pf:0 Reduced from 88.99 to 30.99. Arrived within 2 days and I gotta say......WOW!!! 22mm socket and rachet makes the lift so easy to use. Both wheels off the ground and the bike is stable. Anyone who wants a stable, well made and cheap bike lift....This is the one!! |
Loving' the look of that lift. Are you going to bolt it to the floor to stop forward / reward rock?

Im thinking of mounting it on a bigger square of timber to give it a wider, and more stable footprint.
I may put some ground anchor type bolts into my new garage's floor...when its eventually finished. Current thoughts are to use a piece of roofing joist (that I have left over) bolted to the top plate, instead of the u shaped small supports. That way its effectively increased the load bearing area from approx two inches to seven inches. I may cut two parallel lines/chanels in the wood as and extra safety/stability footprint. |
Sounds like a top, solid solution. I saw a guy on FB have a full sized bike lift sunk in to his garage floor so it was flush to the deck when not in use.....but not all of us are that loaded sadly.
