http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...psd2i8hxpb.jpg It was nice to see and have a sit on the new Tenere....but it's not available until May/June. As nice as it is and as much as I want to love it...I'm not sure it's making me want to replace my brilliant Tenere. I'll reserve judgement until I've had a test ride...hopefully it's a great bike! http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...pszrbxyc8k.jpg On a different note....got my beloved XR650R back on the road yesterday....love that bike! Steve

How tall are you?, asking as you make the 700 look a bit small. Also, any clue as yet to price?
|
I'd rather have your Honda, followed by the KTM 790.

The original picture confused me initially due to the kickstarter lever and tenere decals, but the rear decals explains it's a wr450f. Nice though.
Maybe a 450cc tenere tease from Yamaha.....due in 2 years.....as normal! |
Hi chaps, they were hinting that it would be around 9 grand. I'm exactly 6ft....like I say it was a nice enough bike, but there is a lot of plastic over the tank and it looked a bit ' one of the crowd ' in overall looks...although the headlight and cockpit looks good. Note all my comments are about the looks!, any negatives will be forgotten if it rides and handles well. And Chalk Two....the KTM 790R looks like it could be an excellent bike. The seating position is spot on and it just looks and feels good!. And it will be available before the Tenere. Long test rides and much You Tubing methinks! Steve

Tiz on Facebook that some U.K. dealers are taking deposits now for the TT700. (source; Facebook / Yamaha XT660Z Tenere)

Interesting....it's obviously on its way. I could never put a deposit down and order a bike I hadn't ridden...it's something you need to be confident about. My bike is an extremely important part of what makes me tick !. So a good long test ride will be needed!. Not just on the Tenere but on the new Triumph scrambler 1200....looking forward to that! Steve. PS....still in love with my Tenere!
