https://youtu.be/myrEvvAYAUA The new Tenere had better be good after teasing us with all this advertising! Steve

Have they actually came out with a release date yet (or even release year)?

I think I might upgrade to this one when it finally comes to South Africa, until then, I will keep my Tenere, just love the bike

Also interesting to see LJ18FUP is 689c.c., precisely the same c.c. as a 700 Tracer. I wonder just how they have 'adjusted' that engine and mapping. Or maybe it'll be the old trick of front and rear cog sizes and that's it.

they could do it in many ways, like size of flywheel, mapping, profile of camshaft...
But I believe it will be the mapping and the front and rear cog, like you already mentioned. Cheapest way...

The bike will be shown at the HardAlpiTour in September in Italy.

And probably afterwards at Intermot and EICMA.

You should see the hype and rant and 'informed' know-it-all opinions on advrider.com about this bike. You'd think the Yanks were on the design team or had dinner, weekly, with Sensei Genichi Kawakami. Probably bitter tears since they didn't get the XT660Z.
