If YOU feel that your gonna get enough 'grip' on the bashplate with the wood sandwich idea then go for it.

TBH I thought the oem bashplates were made out of some kinda plastic..

Personally I'd remove it..but thats me.

In the past I have placed axle stands under the frame on both sides too.

it is actually quite sturdy 2~3 mm aluminium plate with proper size bolts.


I will approach it with care & caution :) when the time comes.
