Ordered the emulator also, because it was so cheap(about 3$). Will see if I'll test that. Can't see any reason why it would not work. It would still be cheapest way to get a non key bike running.

Yes, it starts just fine. It's a normal chipped key which has been copied from the old. Of course the locksmith has to be equip/specialized with all the equipment and factory links to make the key. But as said no ECU or 'magic red key' was not needed.
