Front fork oil seal replacement

Hello,my xtx front oil seals are start leaking,so its time for replacement. Now,i want to replace original oil with Motul 20w fork oil and add 35mm long spacers.I ride most of a time with my wife and front sunspension is way too soft, rear sunspension will stay original. Now,will be 20w oil overkill and will i ruin motorbike driving with this change?
Thx

I went up to 20 on my XTX but didn't go for the spacers at the same time, I thought I would wait and see, I have found they are ok as they are, I also have a GS1200 so I am used to no front end dip at all, you can easily fit spacers afterwards if you think you need them.

Ok,i will try with oil first.Im having problem with old oil seal removing, because clamps that hold the seal in place were rusted, looks like some rust is blocking the seal from removing it.I flood seals with oil and i will leave it overnight.

I will change brake fluid,in service manual is recomended dot 4 .Will be no problem if i use dot 5.1 brake fluid?

Nope Dot 5 is fine. I would spary some wd40 around the nipples first tho and let it soak/do its magic.
I crack the nipples using a deep socket..stops things rounding off.:icon_smurf:
