Quick question really, Ive bought a07 xtx and looking at all other 07 they seem to have lambda sensors; mine has none and no catalyst do you think someone has removed em as it has a power commander 3 fitted? Or is mine one of the last without cat?

Have you got a blanked hole on the left pipe?..otherwise if its a clean exhaust pipe then it didnt have one fitted or someones changed the pipe(doubtfull)

Are you sure its an 07?..

Has it got aftermarket pipes and aftermarket air filters ?

Yes definitely an 07 , standard exhaust and cans, no blanking plug and only mod is power commander ,goes really well and rides well at slow speeds which I know these suffer from

It’s probably an 2006 on an 07 plate. I have two 2007 reg xt660 but one is an 2006 bike as it has no 02 sensor on the left pipe. So if yours has no sensor it’s a 2006 bike on a 2007 plate very common it’s just a late reg. I have a 2015 fz1 but the paint code is a 2010 code so that bike is a 2010 model first registered in 2015 would never have known apart from I needed a belly pan painting that’s how I found out very very common. Yours would ride well if it has a power commander on that fixes all the problems with the bike better than the other mods.

Thanks very much 👌👍👌

New pipes and DNA filters wouldnt hurt none either

englishbandit 11-02-18 23:46

If the bike has been set up with a power commander on a Dyno. And none of the filters have been changed to aftermarket ones and cans are still Oem ( check with old owner if bike was set up with the power commander as is or did he take bits off). I would leave as is. or if you do add the stage one and two dna filters and cans You should really put the bike back,on the dyno to get the best out of the power commander. But I would guess who ever put the power commander on the bike has had it set up to how the bike is now.so if bike is running nice. Leave it as it is. Just my opinion. You have the best thing on the bike ie power commander.

Good advice...

I think it has not had any thing took off not by previous owner any way as all he was interested in was buying a Lambretta 😂, checked air filter and seems to have a piece of metal gauze on it not sure this is standard?
Went for a ride yesterday great fun cant believe how lively it is compared to my old 600 Tenere

englishbandit 12-02-18 23:15

Its a 2006 model bike.
