respoke....
how hard can it be ? :-P I'll replace one spoke at a time and check it for being true before moving onto the next one. This method is much slower than just cutting them all off and starting again, but is less chance of it going wrong |
tbh if I were planning the kinda miles/journey /terrain your planning I would sooner pay an expert to do it..BUT thats me init.
As I said..respect |
If you take lots of photos of the lacing it is handy to refer back to. You need to make or buy a stand that you can measure any offset and make sure the rim is true. I have laced up a couple of wheels OK.
You might find lacing one by one very hard to swap the inside spokes, trying to get them around the outer spokes with out bending them. Be prepared. |
little more work
Little more work on the beast today,
Back break pads removed, and general clean up around that area and reinstalled etc. Then i've made a little bracket to hold a power distribution module. This little box will replace the need for relays and fuses on added circuits such as heated grips and charging sockets etc. https://thumb.ibb.co/dbZ2KR/IMG_2685.jpg then found a little spot under the seat to install it using one of the original bolts to hold the new bracket in place. https://thumb.ibb.co/bsP2KR/IMG_2686.jpg would have done a bit more but its cold out in the garage today! |
Looks like the bike is cleaning up very nicely, similar sort of job to what I had to do when I bought mine.
Where did you get that power distribution module if you don't mind me asking? I've been looking for something similar for a while. |
