        Hi guys,
I have been looking for a set of wider pegs for a while now, i found the quality ones way to expensive and i do not dare to rely on the chineese ones. I had a good look at the stock ones after i removed the rubber, i decided then to go forward with a good old diy. Used a piece of flat iron, drilled 6mm holes 1.2cm apart close to the edge of the flat iron , used a grinder to cut a V shape on the top part of the holes to get the sawtooth like pattern, ones i was happy with the shape i cut the piece in to two equally sized pieces, bended them in to a oversize u-shape compared to the original footpeg. Got my tigwelder out and prepared the pieces for the welds, i used some rod and some pieces of a larger flat iron to fill up the gap between the old and and new peg. All i need now is to get my grinder out and cut a little bit here and there to finish them off, ready for paint.. Sure they will be fine and cost me nothing apart from a cutting disc and some current + my time. See the photos Kind regards Ulrich |

Looking good. You've inspired me to dismantle some old bear-trap pedals I have lying about from my mountain bike stock and see what might come of it.
