Vibration

Hello just been out for my first ride on the 660z overall very pleased with the bike but the big problem is excessive vibration, can any body tell me are there any rubber engine mounts that need changing or is it just the way they are

Thanks

Is this your first single cylinder?..

One of my first jobs was to go round the bike tightening all the bolts I could.

Can you isolate any specific areas of the bike that the vibration may be coming from?

Has the bike got the handle bar weights fitted?

May sound daft but are the tyre pressures ok?

Hi thanks for reply, yes this my first single in the summer i run a 1290S KTM .

I know singles are prone to more vibration but this feels excessive at about 25 to 60mph its rough 70 to 75 its better, tyre pressures are spot on but i may take the wheels off and rebalance i cant think what else it may be.

Have you considered the other suggestions/questions?

I get numb fingers on my throttle hand. I put those cheap fat foam grips on which help, but it seems its when i rest my fingers on the brake lever its at its worse. They are Titax stubby levers and may not damp out the vibrations as much as the OEM ones?

I have just replaced all wheel bearings and fitted new tyres if this does not help i can only assume its the nature of a big single:blow kiss:
