Well I never expected to find myself here!
THE STORY SO FAR. I started riding way back in 77, only because there was no room for another car in the drive and I had to get to work somehow. Little did I know that was a decision that was going to change the rest of my life. In those early years I had quite a few bikes, the most memorable being my two stroke Yams :HappyRoll_ANPIUI:. Unfortunately kids came along and the bikes had to go. for the next 15yrs I lived in denial, "I don't want or need a bike!". But then a work mate started looking into going back onto two wheels and the MCN started to appear and I started to flick through them. It was only then that I realised how much I missed having two wheels. So I jumped in, bought myself an early VFR750. (Yes, they are as good as they say!) Natural progression saw me changing to the Honda Blackbird, a superb bike which still takes pride of place in my garage. Unfortunately my 3 mile commute to work isn't worth getting the BIRD out for so I started to look for something (and I don't mean to offend anybody) more 'casual'. While looking into options I found myself being drawn more and more towards the supermoto and the XT in particular. And here we are, I now am the proud owner of a 09 XTX. |

I had a VFR800 once, moved to something a bit more manageable when the back wheel started to race the front out of roundabouts...:smoke: Cracking bike, but if I didn't move to something a bit more... sedate, I'd probably be dead. Varaderos, KLE, XT, TTRs later... I've still got my 08 XT660Z |

Bit like yourself I rode from the early 80s of road 125s and 250s,at 16 did the rd50-ar80-dt125 progression until I turned my back on bikes for almost 10 years due to car interests, but something still burned inside me to ride again. Sat my bike bike test in 1998 and rode ever since, even with 2 boys here now, from hornet to blade to vfr750,mille, busa,zx10r. But the average summer weather and less spare time drew me towards a more all round bike so from transalp to varadero, 12gs to xtx the need for speed was dying and for 2 years the xtz has been my only big bike. Easy to maintain, work on,reliable and enjoyable and nearly always slightly dirty.......which suits this style of bike! Colin J |

After 18 months had to buy another xt
Hi everyone back on the site again after selling my xt660x 18 months ago I only had it 3 months as bought it for a trip done the trip then sold it. But for some reason I just loved the thing. And had to put one back in the garage. With the other 4 bikes lol so now next to my 2 cbr 929 Fz1n and my 800 tiger is my new xt660r I bought tonight. Got a cracking deal on it so had to buy it was not looking for one but it�s condition and history had to have it. It�s a 2007 2 owners 8000 miles show room condition bike and I have ocd last owner 7 years and only used it for the odd trip out in the summer. Never seen wet sump guard nice screen and rack hand guards not even a mark on the wheels they still look brand new �2250 I am a very happy bunny
